Last Sunday, May 23, we went to Galveston for our first family of 3 vacation! We had such a good time even though it was just one overnight stay (thank you, free rewards points!). The swimming pool, friends and good food were the highlights!
We stayed at a hotel that we've used previously when Stephen had business stays in Galveston. It's right on the seawall with great beach views and a beautiful, fun (swim up bar!) swimming pool. Our room overlooked the pool this time and that was an added bonus. Since we went before most schools were out and after the hectic weekend, it wasn't crowded which was great!
Sunday evening, Stephen's best friend and his wife and little boy came to the hotel to swim too and we all went to dinner at a one of favorite places: The Spot. We spent Monday together just our little family of 3 and enjoyed some more swimming, lunch at another favorite: Casey's, more swimming and strolling on The Strand (with a stop at LaKing's, of course, for ice cream, taffy & other treats!).
Jillien LOVED swimming in and out of the little floatie. She's our water baby and we love it! She was so flexible with her napping & eating (both done poolside and in the car at various points). She really is such a happy baby girl! We sure do love her!
